About Us

Principal Von Salmi, Sr. holds a five-year professional degree, Bachelors of Landscape Architecture (BLA) from Kansas State University, with a minor in Architectural History and a background in Architecture. He has worked in the building industry for more than 45 years and in the Boston metro area for almost two decades.

In founding Von Salmi and Associates, Inc., Von sought to fill a need he saw locally for a high-end building firm that could offer a full menu of services to both professionals and homeowners. With years of experience in the building industry, including building, plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, geothermal, painting, custom millwork (both domestic and foreign), custom hardware, custom forge work, masonry, roofing, site work, building materials, building and landscape design and many other categories, it seemed a natural choice to link these services together in one entity that provides first-class design, build, and professional consulting.

Von resides in Westminster, MA in the central hills with his wife, adult children and six grandchildren. As an active outdoorsman, time spent with his family in the outdoors is his passion. Introducing others to the great assets of the natural wonders of the Commonwealth and New England are his hobbies.

Von will readily attribute this time spent in the out of doors as the reason for his intense but calm demeanor.
